The first half of our August was busy, fun and informative.
Part 1: Odell Lake
Our good friend, Sara, graduated and became a Master. We spent a few nights at a gorgeous lake celebrating her achievement with she and her wonderful family and friends.
This love-bug is ready for a car ride
Pit stop: Miriam feeling at home at an amazing pub in Oakridge, Oregon - Brewers Union Local 180
Tim loving the cask ales and the pretty paintings; Miriam is unsure
Pro-Union
Seriously, we would move into this pub if we could
Destination: Odell Lake, a spectacular sight after a long drive
We camped 10 feet from the lake
This one's for Sara
Cute little camper in a party dress - she enjoyed playing in the tent
Making breakfast over the campfire
Miriam's first camp spot
Napping in the Great Outdoors
Skillet of Wonder (thanks, Grandad)
Sweetest silhouette
Happy Campers are we
Part 2: Getting to Know You
Old friends, Will and Noel, brought their beautiful families up for a visit.
Adele and Miriam - seems like old times
Meeting of the baby minds
Babies contemplate toys and each other's motives (nice sleeves, Adele!)
Noel looking slightly dazed
Miriam learns the ropes from the "elders", Huck and Moira
Sharing food and good will - aren't they ridiculously sweet?
Part 3: String Summit
Why didn't anyone tell us camping at a music festival with an infant was going to be challenging?? We took one picture, on our way in, of the rainbow truck spraying water on the roads to decrease the dust output.
We heard some good music, saw some great friends, watched some masterful hula-hooping. Then we returned home and collapsed.
Water truck up ahead
Part 4: Garden
It's been HOT here in P-town. We've got food growing.
Luscious tomato
Hops
Green
Orange spheres of tastiness
